SPENCER – The woman killed in a crash at the intersection of Meadow Road and Pleasant Street has been identified as Joan Milsop, 84, of Shrewsbury.

Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. released the name of the victim Tuesday (Feb. 27, 2024) morning. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, police said.

Milsop was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her husband, police said. She died after their Hyundai Sonata collided with a Jeep Compass at the intersection early Thursday (Feb. 22, 2024) afternoon, Spencer Police Lt. Normand Hodgerney said.

Her husband, whose name has not been released, sustained minor injuries and was taken to a Worcester Hospital by ambulance. A female driving the Compass was not injured, police said.
