SPENCER – The state Department of Transportation has closed the bridge on Thompson Pond Road indefinitely, Police Chief Michael Befford announced Wednesday.
MassDOT inspected the bridge and determined that safety concerns required it be closed to traffic.
There is no date set for the reopening of the bridge.
