SPENCER – An SUV and a motorcycle were involved in a head-on collision Wednesday (May 22, 2024) at the intersection of Greenville and Main Street.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the SUV operated by Saimir Sulce, 31, of Worcester was traveling west and traveled over the yellow line, resulting in a head-on collision with eastbound motorcyclist David Ingram, 69, of North Brookfield.

According to Police Chief Michael Befford, Ingram sustained injuries, was transported to—and is receiving treatment at—UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus and is expected to recover. Sulce was treated on scene.

The accident is still under investigation by the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (CEMLEC).

Befford urges drivers to be careful and attentive on the road, saying, “It’s that time of year when motorcycles are out. Be careful and aware of your surroundings.”
