SPENCER – A Rutland man enjoying a cheeseburger and a game of Keno at Charlie’s on Sunday (Jan. 21, 2024) won $120,000 after all nine of his numbers were drawn.

Mark Hall said his numbers were an assortment of birthdays and other random numbers that he always plays. He added an extra dollar to his wager to be sure that, if the bonus multiplier came up, his prize would be increased – and that’s exactly what happened.

Hall would’ve taken home $40,000 but with the prize being tripled, he hit for $120,000.

The prize was claimed Tuesday, January 23 at Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters in
Dorchester. Smith said he plans to use his winnings to buy a guitar, make some home
improvements, and possibly go on a vacation.

Charlie’s at 5 Meadow Road will receive a $1,200 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

Keno players have the option of selecting from 1 to 12 numbers (spots) to play from a field of
numbers from 1 to 80. Prizes and odds of winning vary based on the number of spots played.

For each Keno game, a total of 20 winning numbers are randomly selected. Playing Keno Bonus gives players a chance to multiply their prize 3, 4, 5 or 10 times if a multiplier number is drawn for that game.
